    Sore wrists

I've had sore wrists now since the birth of my little girl. At first I was told that it was repeating things that I've never had to do before... lifting her up, doing nappies etc. But they are still really sore. She's now 6mths old. I thought it would have passed by now. Sometimes its to the point I can't even pick her up of a morning =( Does anyone else have this problem and how have you overcome it?? I don't want to take pain killers all the time.

    Thanks in advance.

It could be carpal tunnel? I had a lot of pain in my wrists during one of my pg's and it took a while to subside after she was born. In my case all I needed was time to make it go away, but it sounds like you should see a Dr because it doesn't seem to be getting any better for you.

I ended up with nasty RSI in both wrists from picking up DD and holding her in certain ways. Having extra stretchy ligaments post-birth set it off and then it wouldn't heal because I kept having to do the same actions again and again. I ended up seeing an osteopath and she treated it with the ultrasound machine thingamy they have - I was a little dubious but it worked brilliantly! She also strapped them and showed me some ways of moving / lifting that didn't put as much strain on the affected muscles and ligaments.
Hope you get some relief very soon. xox

Sounds like carpel tunnel to me too. Do your hands swell up??
