Feeling ovulation for the first time ever after birthing?

The last two months I've been very aware of a period like cramping/discomfort only to get my period 14 days later. Hence I think for the first time in my life I am feeling ovulation! I had never felt it before and I was hyper aware being a LTer.

Has anyone else experienced this after giving birth? I also have severe endometriosis but have never experienced any pain from it. I wonder what is going on?

Not sure, but I only started being able to feel when I ovulate after having DD, before that nothing at all!

Me too! I have only had 3 periods since having DD but I can now feel ovulation too when I never did before. Would have made trying to conceive a whole lot easier if this was happening before. Will be watching this thread with interest to see if anyone can shed any light on it.

I definitely noticed ovulation a lot more after DD1 than I did beforehand, I am not sure why that is the case, because especially as you would have been so aware of any changes, tweaks and niggles...

I haven't noticed anything yet with DD2, but no sign of AF either....

I only had one period after ds was born then i conceived dd, i felt that ovulation and actually thought i might have been pg again as it was so crampy (just like when you are first pg). 2 weesk later and when AF arrived i realised what it was. It was great because my next cycle i didnt O until cd21 and we were ttc again so when i felt it i was like "oh, ok now its time to dtd" lol.
I had previously never noticed it so strongly

My friend has also mentioned that she experiences O pain now that she has had her DS.

It's a bumma that it happens that way, it would save so much money on OPKs etc..

So there are a few of us. Ironic as I now have no desire to know when O takes place as we aren't planning on another bub & my eggs are shot anyway. I'll ask my gyno next week about it & let you know what she says

yes!!! Before kids, I had no ov pain, no period pain. I found it very hard to track my cycle.
Since having Ds, I've felt ovulation every month and I'm now getting period pain. It sucks!

Yes! I was talking with a friend the other day saying how we can now feel when we are ovulating and from which side since we have given birth. We know people who felt this before they had children and we just thought we weren't in tune with our bodies. I wonder what happens so we now feel it?

Dusty, it really hurts when I ovulate now, whereas before DS was born I had the normal pain on one side but only slightly crampy, like I knew I was O'ing...Now after DS it hurts like crazy!! I will be seeing my FS in the next 4 or 6 months so I can ask him why it's so painful.
