Lots of TMI ! What could this be?

Today (6pm), as we were leaving PIL's place, I was driving and I could feel either movements or tightenings or both. Tell you what, I understand why they don't suggest driving yourself to the hospital in labour!!

7pm I went to the loo (tmi here!) coz I felt like I really really needed to wee, but there was only a little. But like the other day, there was a weird pulsing kind of feeling 'down there' - feeling kinda heavy too.

So I decided to have a little poke around (coz it feels weird and swollen down there)... This is going to sound wrong, but I inserted my middle finger (and I have stumpy-ish fingers) and at the end where I swear I thought would go further in was a squishy hard wall.

Now I'm freaking out that that's the baby's head and I'll go into labour early! Obviously, I don't think tonight...

But is this normal? (the ticker is wrong) I'm 34 and 5 days pregnant (Wednesday will be 35wks. I'd have thought that bit of distance would have been longer... I mean (and I'm so prudish that I can't even say this properly... ) the method of "delivery" to get pregnant is longer than my finger. Surely he'd have noticed before now. Dh (hopefully) jokes that he'll go get his arthroscope thing from work and have a look up there - it's a bendy torch with a camera on the end so he can see inside car engines. Classy. Anyway, he just said that last time, he didn't feel anything strange.

As a side note - just incase it's relevant - I have to wear a liner for about the last month, coz my knickers are always wet. Today I think I noticed that there was a different colour (like a slight red tinge) to some of it.. but when I wiped there was nothing new. So I'm not too concerned about that. (Midwife had said vaginal mucous increases in the last part of pregnancy)

My freakout is I'm not ready, what the hell is going on!?

Dunno. But I'd get it checked out. And dont be putting anything up there for now. You dont want to get an infection.

I had the same discharge today and pretty much the same feelings down there as you! I went to the hossy and all if fine.

Im not sure about the length that you were feeling but the rest of what tiy are describing is the same for me too.

Im also 34 weeks - maybe this is just whats supposed to happen at this stage! I really thought I was going to be told that I was going into pre term labour today! So I understand your freak out!

My baby was engaged at 24 weeks and I could feel his head just inside my vagina. It was as if there was hardly any room in there! I would say that you're feeling your baby's head. I don't know about the discharge. I suppose a call to your midwife won't hurt x

this might sound strange but if you have a really hard poo in your bowel you can sometimes feel that bulging toward the wall of your vagina, might be that.
