If anyone has can someone tell me what you thought of the course? I start next Tuesday but haven't spoken to anyone who's 'been there, done that' and heard their views on it.
Ooh I'd like to know too, I've been thinking about doing one!
Nel, what's your background? Can I ask what motivated you to enroll? What do you think you'll get out of it? I'm trying to decide if its the right path for me.
Before going on maternity leave I was a PA for a Financial Advisor but apart from only having Business Admin certs, I have no other qualifications. What motivated me to enroll were two reasons: 1. So when I go back to work I could have that little bit more knowledge on how things should be handled and run (as my workplace has absolutely nothing like that in place - its a mess)
2. So it opens up my options for other career paths. I am not 100% sure I will be going back to my old job and thought this could lead me down various paths working in different industries, not just limit me to one industry (I was also considering doing my Diploma of Financial Planning).
I hope to gain a higher understanding so I can make a career out of my work (whether it be while little ones are still little or when they are at school) and to also increase my salary. If I don't go back to work once my maternity leave is up I don't want to get a few years down the track and have nothing behind me.
