    Restaurant/waitressing? Bar/pub work?

Function centre - like waitressing but
I imagine nicer? Don't know why I think that...

    Hotel night desk/reception/concierge?

Umm... Something like Kmart - our local Kmart is open to 10pm weeknights... Some are open 24hrs!

    Call centre work.
Retail...alot of reatailers are looking for people to fill those 6pm-9m shifs and Sat/Sun and want reliable people.
Childcare in the Kinder Room, then you also can put your little one in the centre you work at while you work

Could you register with an agency and do night time babysitting/nannying? Is there a need for overnight family day care in your home?

Otherwise I'd be looking into hospitality and restaurants, or night fill or office cleaning. Maybe retail, but you'll find they'll get a lot of the school-age teenagers on the night time and weekend shifts as thats all they can work, and they are cheaper to hire.

Yep - nanny for some poor health care worker who is on evenings / nights, because normal childcare is not an option. You may even be able to do it at your home or take the little man with you and have him collected later if necessary. It may be even a sleep over option. You could find your local hospital and place an ad there. Particularly with your background!!

It is what I am having to do so I can go back to work. My nanny will start at 11am - 9.30pm and as my hours increase over time she will work until 11.30pm and then 1am when I am back on 12 hour shifts.

Haha I knew the stripping post would come in there somewhere.

I thought about night nannying as I could also study when not actively 'on duty' but have no idea where to find those positions, so great suggestion Michelle we have a local hospital 5 min up the road and my sil works at another local one.

Kmart 24hrs would also be good as I have issues being alone at night (Mmmmm reconsidering night nannying lol)

I wonder how much they would pay? Will call up and check tomorrow.

My gf works at bunnings and while I could so do that have you felt how bloody hot that place gets this time of year.

I look up stuff on seek all the time for my DP. Ticketek are currently hiring and it's inbound calling, so much better then outbound as people actually want to talk to you
