Should I get them something? The person who has rescued our dog.
My dad's dog is at our house while Dad and I are away with the kids.
DH is at home, but a shiftworker, so doesn't have a great lot of time to spend with the dog, and when she isn't tied up, she escapes. He doesn't like leaving her tied up for long lengths of time, and she will escape out the smallest of gaps, but does leave evidence of where she got out.
This time, she didn't come home. DH went looking for her last night, but I told him this morning, that someone might have taken her in and not to stress too much because she is microchipped.
Dad received a phone call from the RSPCA this morning, and I spoke to the man that has her. He wasn't keen on taking her back and tieing her up, and said he is happy to keep her till DH can pick her up tomorrow.
So my question is, do I get them something to say thanks? If yes, any suggestions? They do have a dog themselves and apparently both the dogs are having a great time together.
Definately! I usually get a scratchy - although if you take round some homemade bikkies you may end up with a friend and someone for your Dad's dog to play with more often!!!
You're very lucky to have the dog rescued, and not by the council ...
