    Polyhydramnios and uneven fetal growth

    Hi girls,

I have been measuring big for dates so had an ultrasound. Have been diagnosed with polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid) and also the baby was big >97th percentile but only the head and body, the legs were 'normal' for dates. Apparently both are concerning, as could signal problems with the baby. Was tested for gestational diabetes and I don't have that. Next growth scan on Friday and very nervous and also very stressed that there could be a problem with bub.

Anyone else have advice / been in same situation????

Sorry Maggie, don't have any personal experience with it, but I didn't want to read without posting and letting you know I am hoping this all works out fine .

I'm sorry I've not been in your situation but just wanted to give you a hug I suggest you write down all your questions that you think of between now and Friday, that way you won't forget to ask about anything that is concerning you.

sorry, again im no help, just sending hugs. remember that scans can be wrong , unclear or inconcusive sometimes and the next scan may well show a better picture. big hugs.

Definately write down your questions as when you get in there it is soo easy to get bambossled and it can help stop them from running around your head..

I would try not to worry as ultrasounds can be notoriously wrong in measurements...

Good luck and let us know how you go...
