Question Energy ratings on large appliances?

So when purchasing a new appliance do you pay much attention to the energy ratings?

Reason I ask is that we are currently looking at getting a new larger fridge. In fact we NEED a larger fridge, too many water bottles! Anyway, in the size range that we are looking at (650-700ltrs) and the style (upside down with french doors) the energy ratings are shocking - 1-2 stars if you are lucky!

Normally I do take into consideration the energy ratings but in this instance I really have my heart set on this size and style of fridge - I dont want a side by side fridges, I dont like their lack of width.

So what would you do? Would you get the best fridge for your needs regardless of energy rating?

I would probably go rating - size - look.

The style doesn't really bother me I would be more concerned with the size then finding the best rated one in the size.
