Hi everyone,
we have read a lot about gentle parenting our little ones, now they are growing up i would like some suggestions for pre-schoolers and above for parenting books. We have read all of Pinky's book and a few books on co-sleeping and breastfeeding but not sure where to go from here. We are very gentle parents and would only like books that continue on that theme please.
Thanks a lot your advice is always helpful
I just remembered Kathy Walker. I like her philosophies and approach to early childhood education. She is about the importance of play in learning and about letting children be children, not hurrying them through the very important early years.
Steve Biddulph has a new one out also called Raising Happy Children (or something like that). I haven't read it yet but I am sure it would be very good.
I would really recommend Robin Grille's heart to heart parenting. He is an aussie psychologist and the theme is very much about their emotional development. I would consider us gentle parenters and this book really made a lot of sense to us. Hope this helps
