Not sure if I am miscarrying

I think I am miscarrying. Not totally sure.... I am only about 5 weeks and a few days. Right from the start i have had more spotting than the first pregnancy but it stopped the past week and I breathed a sigh of relief. Today I have had lots of fresh bleeding, nearly like a period and period like cramping and pain although more than I normally get. I think I am loosing this pregnancy I know that if it is happening this early that it is probably for the best. I just wish I knew but it is the weekend and I know that the sonographer at the local hospital would have already gone home so there isn't any point in all going down there to have a blood test. I will have to wait till monday. I wish I knew one way or another.

Oh no, I am so sorry you are going through this. I had alot of bleeding throughout my last pregnancy and I know how scary it can be. Please rest up and look after yourself. Don't be worried that there are big gushes when you get up out of bed, that's usual as the blood pools and flows when you rise which makes it look like there is a big gush or massive bleed. Hugs, I hope everything is okay.

Thanks everyone for your support. Dh called the local ED where he used to work as a doctor and the senior ED doctor has organised an U/S for the morning for me. At least I will know. I think I will go and have a quiet glass of wine and go to bed early..

Oh Bella, I hope its a false alarm and everything is ok, I cant imagine how worrying this is.
I had some spotting and bleeding when I was pregnant with Bailey and everything turned out just fine - I am thinking of you and hoping it turns out the same, I am telling you this with hope it will reassure you that it doesn't always mean a miscarriage. However things turn out, much love to you, DH and J
I wish I could give you a big hug babe
