ok, so we have been pocket MCNs over night with two bamboo pads - and have been basically since all the meconium had run its course ...
but for the past week or so, DS has been wetting right through, not just a little at the bottom, but sometimes the whole way up to his (little, adorable) armpit!
it doesn't wake him up, but he's mighty wet and a little smelly when we get him up in the morning ...
we've tried making them tighter, padding them with a square nappy, etc ... no joy!
hmmm, I would maybe invest in a proper night nappy - there are a few around, Im sure some more experienced cloth-ers will come in and help!
Otherwise, I would try a fitted and either a woolen cover, or the MAL minky ones are great! Thats what I have used with my girls
yep second the NN and wool. Genesa Forga also make great NNs (though this is coming from someone who recently had to give up her cloth NN due to DS being able to fill up to the point of leaking 2 - yes 2 Huggies overnight....no cloth nappy can match him sadly and no amount of wool was stopping the leaks lol)
Sorry to agree with everyone else because I love having my own opinion but I also think try a night nappy. We use BBH here and never leak or have wet through dramas.
Another one to recommend the MAL night nappy - I think she's in the process of making some for her March stocking, so not long to wait I can PM you her store details if you're interested
The main night nappy we use are the dream dri pop ins with the night time bamboo booster - fantastic. Melo is a heavy wetter and have not even come close to leaking when we have one of these on... and no sign of nappy rash either
I've just ordered my first Cherub's Kiss NN so wil let you know how great it is once we try it out
My heavy night wetter was damp when we used a fleece cover overnight... So I switched to PUL. Yep, PUL. I know, I know, it's horrible that I'm using that :P But it was the only thing that I could find that would keep her dry. We'd put that over a bamboo nappy with a bamboo insert, then as she got bigger, we upgraded the insert to a terry flat that we folded up and put in the nappy.
I'm a babybeehind freak Peanutter - the night nappies are well priced so def check there and I have a wool cover that I have never used from BBH and be happy to send you for free if you PM me your address
