Recommendations wanted - Dog Boarding Kennels Brisbane
Hi all
Hoping to get some feedback on dog boarding kennels both positive and negative. Looking to board our 2 small dogs over Easter. They have never been in boarding before. They are not well socialised so would prefer for them to stay together and not mix with other dogs. House sitting or pet minding services are not an option as they are inside dogs and would constantly bark if left outside overnight.
We live on the northside of Brisbane so would prefer to kennel them on the northside/west side.
Hi Saffi... We have used Bayan Kennels at Bracken Ridge a few times for our cat and dog and never had a prob. Our fur babes have always come back happy and healthy which I suppose is the best sign lol. We used to use one on the southside of Brisbane ( can't remember the name, though it was at Mt Cotton and a while ago )and it was a disaster, animals came back with fleas, cat ended up terribly sick and had gotten so stressed he chewed the fur off his paws.
I'm in Melbourne, so not much help to you, but the kennels here usually allow you to take a tour. Then you can actually see where your dogs will be going, and see how clean it all is, etc. I have two dogs, they are always boarded together, never put with others. I don't think you'll have an issue with that, they only generally separate them if the owner requests it. Good luck!
Hi Saffi, we use All Breeds Pet Motel at Bracken Ridge and are happy with them - nothing fancy but they look after them and that's all I care about! BUT if you're looking for boarding this Easter, you've left it pretty late. I know All Breeds already have a phone message saying they're booked out and others probably are too. If you're happy to pay, the Samford Pet Resort may not be booked out yet (we had to use them once when we left it too late!) It's pretty la-di-da and priced accordingly, but you have a choice of "suites" and special activities
Thanks for your replies. Yes, probably have left it too late. My ILs have always looked after them in the past and its been no problem. But now they have 2 dogs of their own, live in a small home in a retirement village and have a neighbour who torments the dogs and then complains when they bark. It just seems easier to not bother them with our yappers.
Anyway could always see if there are vacancies and if not we do have somewhere for them to go.
