Oh no! I hope you are ok though?
I would like crepes now... yum!
Why you should not make crepes in the morning when you're feeling insecure.
I have no idea why I decided on crepes this morning but I leapt out of bed and decided to mix up some crepe batter so we can have crepes for lunch. That was my first mistake; just because they have a day off school does not mean that one should feed them something other than salad and sandwiches for lunch.
Second mistake - I decided to use a recipe. Why I need a recipe to mix flour, milk egg and butter until they are the right consistency is beyond me.
Third mistake - instead of just chucking a cup of flour in I decided to weigh it
Fourth mistake - and this is the biggy. Instead of putting in 150 grams of flour into my bowl I put 750g of flour into my bowl![]()
And then when I thought '**** me that's a lot of flour' I decided that it's been a month or so and maybe the quantities in this recipe are just bigger than I usually make.
Reason did not reassert its head until I had dough on my hands that I had to throw out.
I went with the old fashioned way of a bit of this and a bit of that and now I have a lovely batter sitting for an hour or 2 to emulisify. No more early morning cooking or crepe recipes for me.
I still can't believe that I filled a bowl with flour and noticed there was way too much flour on pressed ahead anyway![]()

Oh dear! Maybe you were still half asleep? (I'd be going with that excuse!).
LOL, you could have just added yeast and made some bread :P But crepes for lunch do sound yummy.
sounds like something id do ''hum, that doesnt look right...oh well''
mmmmm crepes! im terrible though, its normally 8.30pm when i decide i want crepes,so the batter never gets to sit for a few hours, ten minutes and im stuffing them in my face![]()
