I have a Bugaboo Bee due to having a small car and I love it so much. Bugaboo make really good prams.

They sell quite often on eBay due to people getting them as gifts or not using them often. You might get a bargain on there.

Can anyone tell me the difference between a frog and chameleon bugaboo?
Can you still play with the colours and is it very similar?

I have one, charcoal base and pink toppings. I love her! I also have black toppings, but they are so boring...

Be careful buying the Cameleon on ebay, some of them are 'replica' Bugaboos brought in from China. Google 'replica bugaboo' and check out what comes up! These prams don't comply to Aus/NZ safety standards. Make sure you buy from a reputable seller!

I think the Frog is the older, superseded version of the Cameleon and you can't change the colours? Someone else might be able to clarify...

I had one, which I sold and bought the strider

It was ok. Not worth what we paid, but if your getting it second hand that's not so bad.

    Likes:
    Light weight,
    Pretty colors
    VERY easy to clean
    Easy to use

    Dislikes:
HAVE to pull it apart to collapse it - not good for the bus
It's a bit annoying that you have to put the seat on the dirty ground to set up the frame first
Every second person seems to have one
Accesseries are very exxy - ie very basic plastic cup holder = $50
Not much space in the basket (The strider one is great!)

If you check out the strollers and prams forum they have a list of eBay sellers to avoid. I can dig up the link if you can't find it.

Sorry but I'm going to go against the grain here and admit that I did regret buying my cameleon. Don't get me wrong- I LOVE this pram, the look, the steering, the suspension. BUT after about 8 months the 2 piece fold stared to REALLY annoy me and I found I was avoiding using it for short trips and just carrying him, simply because I couldn't be arsed to put the damn thing up. So when the new bugaboo bee came out I did some research and felt that the easier fold etc more than made up for the drawbacks (no bassinet, not as good on rough terrain). Anyway so after LOTS of to and fro I have sold the cam (sold for a really good price on ebay) and got the bee plus (got it in UK) and I am SO happy! It's fantastic, much better for public transport, much easier to put in and out of the car, and I LOVE IT! Now he's bigger the lack of bassinet obviously doesn't bother me as much, but I hope I don't regret the decision for #2...

Anyway, didn't want to dampen your enthusiasm for the bugaboo, they are fantastically made and great to use, and I know lots of people think this is the ideal pram, but just wanted to share my experience... for me the 2 piece fold was just too inconvenient long term, and the bee plus was easier day to day. Anyway, be reassured that if you do find you want to sell one in the future, they have great resale value as long as you look after them.

    Happy pram buying!!

Lyra no thank you so much
Since dd is only 4 monthsbi decided for the chameleon and when she is alot bigger I'll probably sell it for a bee too
I went to baby bunting yesterday and played with them and she was too small and didn't sit well in the bee
Oh and I totally get you on the 2 piece fold lol it is a pain in the butt

Zaki, I just purchased the Bugaboo Chameleon at my local baby boutique and am in love with it Stylish, 5 year warrantee and design your own clour system with the carriage etc. (Mine is sand base with black cover/neutral and pretty I am so sad but I didn't realise I would be so excited over a pram.lol But a big fan. Yes expensive but before being pregnant I would get mummy envy over the pram when I saw one So great investment. Saying that my mum helped me pay for it but you can always layby. Take care x

haha so glad I'm not the only one obsessed with prams When I was pregnant I spent every night from about 12 weeks until 20 on the internet reading EVERY review for prams! It became a bit of an obsession! lol. Curlygirly so glad you're so happy with your pram! I know the excitement!

Zaki, yeah I know what you mean, the "bucket" sort of seat with the cam means that they always fit perfectly in it. When I got the bee at first it seems that he slumped down a bit and didn;t look as comfy, but I just had to push his bum right back in the seat and do the straps up a bit more firmly than I was used to in the cam, and it's fine now. I think the cam is better for those littlies, wish I could have kept both!
