    Snugglepot and Cuddlepie nursery theme

Hello, DH and I love the images in Snugglepot and Cuddlepie and think it would be a lovely theme for a nursery...only there doesn't seem to be much out there...anyone else done anything like this or have any pointers? thanks

aaawww that is so cute... its a hard theam but once you get creative it will all flow.... go from the books and choose the colors and even re-create some pages from the books. i am doing Dr Suess and painting some quotes on the wall, also adding the peel off stickers, everything else in the room is suess colours bright red, blue, white, strips and dots.... once you start youll see things every where.... good luck

Maybe find a local artist in your area who could do some painting for you (as in a mural) then try to find some matching items. Try ebay for some fabric to make cushions etc. I'm sure it will look great when finished

Altho dh doesnt think it wld be fitting if we happen to have a baby boy.. i dont think it wld matter tho.. It wld be gorgeous! We still havent done anything.. so hopeless! Am thinking of asking an artist friend to paint a mural cos i havent been able to find anything on internet either. Cant wait to hear about how u go!

If you had a steady hand you could always hire a projector, put printed pictures on it, project them onto them onto the wall and the trace and paint yourself

Reet- good luck with it...and yes I tend to think a lot of the images would be good for either sex, native animals etc... we actually hope to find out the sex of our baby at next weeks scan

zarava- thanks, we are thinking of all options at the moment and i am waiting to hear back from an artist friend.

a friend who can paint has generously offered to paint some images onto canvases for us, that we could put in a series on the wall...or even one large canvas with a series of linked images i guess, from the book.... it wasn't quite what we had imagined (more thinking in terms of a mural painted onto the wall), but is a lovely offer and could work...what do you ladies think? they could also be kept down the track when the room eventually gets repainted etc.

I was hoping to do more of an Australian Animal theme but I can't find anything much either, apart from a Lamaze Kangaroo toy which I got on eBay. If I could sew you could buy plain sheets and run a strip of fabric along them and things like that.

However I do have a Kangaroo baby wrap which myself and my brother were wrapped in so that will be nice to use.

What a lovely friend I say go for it! I think canvases are a great idea! They wld be perfect with a nicely painted green wall behind them. I reckon get a few separate canvases with different images, not just one big one with different images.
