    Nursery Theme ....

I dont know if it is jus DH and I being rectal - but I do not like any nursery themes! I think they are all so gross.

I was thinking of a sesame street theme, but can't really find much (linen wise) Any suggestions on where to find sesame st linen in Australia? I am not really comfortable buying something online as I'd prefer to look at it, but am open to the idea of ebay or something like that

    Hey There,

I know Target used to stock a lot of Sesame Street stuff - I got my nephew the most beautiful bunny rug from there. Mind you, he turns 4 pretty soon, so it was a while back!!!

Have you checked out some specialist baby stores? In Perth we have Baby on a Budget & BabyRoad, which both have online stores?

Both my kids had the 'Zany Zoo' theme in their nurseries. We didn't know the gender, so we had to go neutral. I got some stuff from Baby on a Budget & some from Target & KMart.

    Good luck in your mission!!

    xx

You don't have to theme it if you don't want to

if you want 2 decorate, just choose a colour you like or a shape (stars /circles)

if your bub is like mine, she won't spend any time in their anyway

Jayne - can't find anything even at target (perhaps it is just my local target that has crap?) Last time we were there they had 1 type of cot set and it was some plain set. Will check out baby on a budget thank you

HotI - I'm thinking maybe we wont have a theme LOL, if we can't find anything we might just have to stick with a 'colored' theme ?

Wannabeamumma - I had winnie the pooh with DD and all the winnie the pooh sets ive seen have lots of pink on it and dh wont be impressed with all that pink if its a boy

Will keep searching at the online baby stores wish me luck!

With DS2 we had a white & silver star theme. It was great. With DD2 we just had pink & brown and it was beautiful. For DD3 we have no real theme as yet but we're starting on butterflies

Miss M have you tried big w?
I was in target the other day and there was a huge sesame St section..
I agree with the PP I don't tend to go towards actual character themes I just sit and think what I really want it to look like and go with that.. Like colours and ornaments pictures and curtains etc it can be so fun

How about finding a few Sesame St toys and then using the colours from that to dress the room?

Dont have one! Maybe do neutral backdrop with a colour theme or something. There are some divine WAHMs on FB that sell kids bedding that is just gorgeous - not themed at all, just classy and beautiful (and make me want a cot just for the simple reason that I love bedding )

ETA: Also places like etsy and printspace have really gorgeous sayings and pictures for walls that you could tie in with colours as well.

I like this idea - then we could find a few little toys and a nice pic to go in the nursery.

I dont want anything too over the top

I went with giraffes as we're not finding out the gender of our baby.

The quilt, wall stickers etc are not all the same brand/design, I just have bought stuff I loved and it goes together in a random cute way

He's got a corner of my *pink* bedroom lol.

I just somehow came across random things on eBay and in op shops that I liked. I would have liked a real Australiana theme though, but there's nothing available much like that here. But I did well with his baby book, I got him a "Possum Magic" baby record book.

We did Winnie theme with DS and there was nothing pink about it. Got Pooh Rug and plush toys from Toys R Us and then border and life size character transfers from Spotlight! But if you did that with DD then I can see you'd like to have something different for number 2. If we are lucky enough to go No 2 think we would go animal theme which would be lots of green!
