    Pimple Problem....!

    Hey ladies.

Since coming off the BCP, I have had disgustingly horrible pimple explosions on my face and shoulders. It's quite gross and I've been using very expensive products to attempt to get rid of it....

I've tried Proactiv and Elle bache products as well as Avon etc etc... I keep getting frustrated with the fact that nothing I use fixes my pimple problem! Even if I spend nearly 70 dollars just on a cleanser!!!

Anyways, I'm going to see the doctor for a few other issues on Monday, just wanted to know what you use and how good it works etc etc...

    TIA

    Melzi xx

i use dermalogica. your local stockist will do a skin mapping of your face to tell you which product out of the range is best for your skin. i also found that having a mini facial helps get rid of that initial clogging. they go thru and pop all the pimples, black heads and give your skin a real good steaming, clensing, exfoliating & moisturising (probably not in that order... I can't remember) so it can concentrate on being nice instead of produce all that oil for those pimples XD i really can't recommend that enough. I did it three times once a month before my wedding and my skin was so much better for it (and I was pregnant as well, so had the hormones to deal with). I also use an ultraceuticals even skin tone serem which helps to get rid of pimples and blemishs.
as far as cost, it's a bit more $ than avon etc... you can get it a little cheaper from strawberrynet but I would probably get the first batch form from your local stockist so you know which product is best for you.
    hope that helps! pimpls suck!!

P.S. Make sure you're drinking a buttload of water, and try stay clear of fizzy drinks and anything with an insane amount of sugar in it. I find their my worst enemy in the pimple department!

I used to have a pretty bad problem with pimples but it was more hormonal I think - I spent a lot of time finding something to help and in the end use a supermarket garnia cleanser - it's so cheap ($10ish) and is the only thing that works for me. I tried proactive and other things as well.

I'm not home right now but I can post the name of it when I get home if you like.

I hope you find something because it's not nice at all to be self conscious of your skin

i use a pimple cream called oxy 10 (or 5, i cant remember) that works fantastic! i dont need to use it too often anymore though cuz my skin has calmed down, mine broke out after i went off the pill..

other than that i use proactiv, that works wonders for me, but i find everything i use my skin eventually gets used to it

your body needs a bit of time for the hormones to calm down, if you havent been off the pill for that long maybe thats all it is, was your skin like that before the pill?

mine was, i had terrible skin before the pill, and i had bad skin for a while after going off it

How long was it bad for? I've been off the pill for nearly a year. You'd think it would have balanced my hormones by now!

I'm not worried about the way I look just that these pimples are starting to really hurt me!

about a year also, although i then fell pregnant so my skin was even more ridiculous than that..

i found that washing my skin every couple of days with pimple washes etc helps it more, if i wash everyday my skin breaks out really bad
