    Rocker, bouncer, or swing?

    Hi

I was looking to buy either a rocker, fisher price bouncer, or take along swing but not sure which one to get!

I am hoping to get one mainly for the newborn to young baby stage as I couldn't lie my other DD's down flat after feeding otherwise they would vomit, so I need something that doesn't sit up too straight but still has a slight angle. I also like to use them for (supervised) naps.

The bouncers look snuggly but the rocker tends to be a nice motion for babies, and I wasn't sure if the swing had a lock position for napping. I also don't have a lot of space to have too many items!

I was given a swing and rocker to borrow for my DD's but have since given them back and was hoping to just buy one item instead of all 3!

I have seen some good deals on fisher price ones on ebay but its hard looking at the box to see if they will be good for a newborn.

We just had a bouncer for DS, we have really limited space and not enough $$$ to justify the batteries for anything that moved!
DS at 7 months still sits in his bouncer now he can move it by himself!! When he was a littlie (because he's such a big boy now!!!) we just adjusted the bouncer to a more horizontal setting, we have the Baby Bjorn one- we bought it second hand on ebay and would use it again in a second. He has slept, watched, bounced and eaten in it!

There is a fisher price one which is a swing and rocker. I love it, and so does Ds. He can vibrate away when his reflux is bad and swing when he is bored.

We had a bouncer and a swing and used the swing much much much more!!!

DS1 was not a fan of bouncer (was given as a gift) we bought the swing when he was about 4 weeks old as we had to hold him all the time as didnt like being flat or still.

We bought a take along fisher price swing that uses batterys and was awesome we used it with DS2 as well.

Both would sleep in swing but not bouncer.

We have the fisher price "my little lamb" cradle and swing. It's great for refluxy babies because it can swing side-to-side (it has 3 ways to swing). The little chair that DS sits in also has 2 positions - one more sitting, the other more lying. It has a number of speeds as well, and a little mobile that rotates (but can be turned off) as well as some musical options (or silence). The one thing it doesn't do is vibrate. I have no regrets in opting for this swing despite the price and the fact it chews batteries. I do know of someone who had someone fairly handy convert a battery operated swing to one that runs on electricity but I have no idea how they did it.

we have a bright starts bouncer and a fisher price i-glide swing...

to be honest we love both!!

the swing was fabulous from day one, DD is getting a bit "over" it now, and likes to sit in her bouncer now instead.

thanks so much, so helpful!! but also so many good options, its tricky when all babies are different and like different things, DD2 had reflux and I'm not sure if this one will be the same or not!

if i could do it all again, i would have bought a baby hammock. no plastic, no batteries needed, no annoying tinny tunes.

SWING!!! It is a lifesaver with my DD... most of the time she will go back to sleep in the swing but not the bouncer...
