I'm sure it's nothing, but if you are worried then can you go to your local hospital for a check-up?
I've been having some pains in my tummy for the last hour or so. I am also getting back pain with it. I can feel baby moving alot so I don't know whether it is just my uterus being irritable or whether it is something I should worry about. I've been getting regular Braxton Hicks since 9 weeks or so and think I have an irritable uterus as they seem to be set off by certain things. These 'pains' don't seem to be coming at regular intervals, just every now and then.
With all the baby loss happening lately I don't know if I'm just over reacting or whether it's something to really worry about.I'm only 23 weeks.

I have been laying down for the last 45 mins or so and it's not getting any worse. I really want to avoid the hospital if possible as it probably is just nothing and I'd probably have to wait for 4 hours to see anyone! I'm waiting to see if it continues once the baby goes to sleep. He's very active at the moment!
did you call your midwife?
I'd get it checked out just in case
Oh it's a scarey business isn't it? Especially when there's so many sad stories around to add fuel to the already-present fears. Don't know what your hospital is like, but I've had a couple of freak-outs about lack of movement - once with this pregnancy and one with DD's - and I just called maternity. They let me just come straight in to them rather than going through emergency, and just popped me on the monitors for a bit so we could check all was ok. They were SO lovely about it, and told me that if I so much as got 5 mins down the road and got worried again, that I could come straight back. I'm just going public, but there were enough staff around that it wasn't a problem.
Point is, it's worth giving maternity a buzz as maybe you won't have a 4 hr wait, and you'll get some peace of mind. Hope it all settles down very soon Hun. oxo
Hope it settles for you darls - I agree with PP, just give maternity a call and see what they say. They will be able to say if they are busy or if you can just pop in for some monitoring and peace of mind![]()
i'd be giving them a call. my midwife always stressed that if i'm stressed then it's worth a phone call xx
Hope you're doing ok chick! Thinking of you xox
Has it settled down now? Id be giving your middy/hossy a quick call, even if its just for piece of mind.
Is B home to watch the kids or take you in?
Keep us updated lovely xxx
Thankyou ladies. After resting the pains seemed to subside and just left more of a dull ache across my belly and back.
I called my midwife and while she was a bit worried as to why I am already having strong/painful BH she was pretty happy that, with rest, they seemed to go away. She wants me to keep a close eye on things and to call her if it happens again and we will go to the hospital for monitoring.
I'm so glad the pain has subsided hun, but please keep an eye on it. I also say, if you're worried and it doesn't feel right, check it out. Big hugs and GL!
Thankyou all so much for caring. What would I do without you gals? x
