GGRR!! anyway, can i still see the gyno or do they like to reschedule? i am afraid if i cancel this appointment i will have to wait another few months!

if you are expecting to have a pap done at the appointment i would suspect you'd need to reschedule. i had a pap done in january due to persistent spotting. i hadn't bled for a couple of days, but the GP that did the pap mentioned blood at the cervix and it could lead to corrupted results and require further follow up later. call and ask the receptionist - they'll know the process

I've been to so many gyno appointments, and I've never been examined by any of them! I wouldn't worry - even if they do examine you, you won't be the first who's had their period at the time. I mean, don't they hafta do 6 week checkups for new mumma's? Surely some of them are still bleeding post birth

ETA - That's weird BG, my last pap was done in the ER during my last miscarriage, they never said anything about the blood corrupting anything...

well i am not due for a pap. its more about painful episiotomy site after 2 years. i think i will just turn up and see what happens. it just makes an awkward and embarrasing moment that much more awkward and embarrasing i guess!
