Cally, that is brave of K to stay away! There is no way that W would want to stay away from us, especially at someone else's house.

MD, where do you feel it when you have that pregnancy pelvis pain thingo?

Everywhere!!! Commonly though, you may feel it in your fanny bone and in the sacro-illiac joints - but the pain tends to spread. I had killer lower back pain on account of all the muscles trying to clamp down and hold the area stable. Eventually it hurts everywhere.

Crap. I was hoping you wouldn't say fanny bone It has just started in the last few days. I really hope it doesn't progress into anything. I already have a sore tailbone area if I sit wrong and sore hips if I stand too long.

Nooooooo! Get along to the physio asap, you can actually prevent it from getting worse than it has to if you do all the right things. If you push through it thouhg you could end up in trouble.

It isn't bad atm, just a twinge so I think I will leave it and see if it turns into anything. We only have a part time physio based at a gym, so I am picking he does more sports physio than pregnancy problems.

why is this thread a sticky thread?
? Because we play so nicely that the mods have decided to hold the Sept 07 mummies up as the epitome of BB niceness and a good example to everyone else???

Well ladies, I've finally submitted that metadata assignment - talk about PAINFUL. Now I'm going to try to willfully distract myself until the results come in because I'm not confident about either the decisions I have made or the thoroughness (read: NOT) with which I have justified them. Pees make Degrees.

Arte I'm sorry you were bored stiff this morning. Sadly I too was bored stiff but frenetically so, trying to get that assignment done LOL.

Arte, I do hope that's not the start of pelvic laxity. Mine has started to play up again after never being completely 100% right. I might have to get back to the physio because I can't remember what any of the exercises were - besides the ever-constant pelvic floor and 'bracing' tummy muscles whenever I lift anything.

MD, I hope you get a good mark for your assignment. How do you know if it is pelvic laxity?

Ginger, that is a good idea FBing your boredom. I don't have any locals on mine though. Not sure why, I have just never added any of them.

I remembered today how much I didn't like being a SAHM before kindy. Now my days are filled with drop offs and pick ups with activities for A in between, so I usually don't get home until around 2pm and it is not too hard to fill in the afternoon. It is so much better to have stuff to do! I really struggle with staying at home doing nothing.
It snowed in the next town 11kms away so I guess winter has well and truly arrived now.

I had a massive lightbulb moment about easter. I have always hated the blatant rip-off of the easter eggs. They charge about 4x as much for less weight of chocolate than a normal block and it always irks me so this year I have invested in some molds and we are going to make our own. I will just get a couple of blocks and melt them down. Should be fun. We might even put lollies inside for an added thrill.

Arte I get really bored too when I have no activities on. I now have something on every day except thurs- when we usually catch up with a friend. It makes being a sahm much more enjoyable, and I often find that once I'm out of the house I feel much more energetic and I look forward to coming home in the afternoons and jumping on bb! It's very wintery here too ATM, so far it feels nice but I'm sure I'll be whinging about it in a couple of months!

I know it's the same because i feel the joints moving and clicking like they did when I was pregnant and one of my hips has rotated forwards just like it was. But you'd need to get assessed to find out for yourself.

Your easter egg plan sounds fantastic! I can't believe how expensive they are this year, a tiny little bag (100g) of solid eggs costs >$4 and that's all of 8 eggs in there. Or you can buy the cheap nasty chocolate that nobody wants to eat . I'm planning to rock the biscuit cutters, we'll give a few people some nice cookies instead of going all out on the overpriced choc. (not that I usually have any problems with chocolate, per se...LOL).

I hate being at home with the kids with nowhere to go, esp on the weekends when DH is away. But my problem is I like to linger in my pjs and then I'm crazy disorganised with getting everyone out the door.

Not winter here yet, gorgeous sunshiney autumn, my favorite favorite weather. Going out and about tomorrow to soak as much of it up as possible .

ETA - Arte there is info on this website.

Arte: do you have an osteo around? they can be good too. can team it nicely with the physio.
and boo hoo to the rainy cold day. i can commiserate on the no nice food. we are in the land of no kitchen ATM with the new one still non operendi. sooo want to be able to make pasta and like use a stove (never thought i would have the day where i say that ).

MD: *snap* we are having glorious autumn weather here too (sorry arte :hides

i think i need to make our own easter eggs too. would be nice as an activity to do with leila...ok, edit that...dont have stove (do you reckon i could do it with a rice cooker??).

G: are we a sticky?! that is soo because we are cool lol!

AFM: well, as i mentioned we have no kitchen (well we do but it isnt hooked up to the gas yet). and i am slowly going bonkers with tradies coming and going and nowhere clean and safe to put Marta (who had decided to start crawling the day before the kitchen came out ). and then to top it all off i got my FIRST EVER cold sore! aw man, they hurt! and of course are unsightly and now i am all depressed because i feel gross and infected and my house is trashed and Marta ate a slug today and i had to pull it outta her mouth and there were entrails and it was beyond gross. and then i totally yelled OTT at leila for leaving the screen door open and of course marta fell out of the door (there is a step) and what with all the mayhem i went psycho mum...arrghhhhh! i felt so bad as she was just being a kid and being gorgeous beautiful, but no, her banshee coldsore ridden mother in moth eaten clothes (oh the glamour at finding half your wardrobe destroyed by moths!)...arrrghhhhhhh! far out i need that holiday. bring on June where i can demand MD to have some chocolate with me

MD: yeah that is what i am thinking...i feel all out of sorts then looked outside and saw the massive glow...oh boy lol.

and now i am super emotional because now we are no longer allowed to have tickers with photos...AT ALL! i am so devastated. i know that i shouldnt be, but i am. and now they are threatening to take away our avatars...feck BB can suck occasionally. political correctness has GONE MAD. ok, rant over...but not forgotten bahahahaha (oh can you tell i am feral tonight??!).
