    Cravings is this OK???

Hi everyone so i am currently really early like 7-8 weeks pregnant and have been craving earl grey tea for the last four days i am on about 6 cups. I am crazily reading all the books and tea does come up in a few lists of not to have foods. Anyone else had craving for stuff ur not ment to have and do u think i should try switching?

    Hey congratulations first up

I would think too much caffeine isn't good, can you get decaf? Someone else might pop in that knows if there are any other dramas with a decaf tea.
It's hard to fight those cravings!

Tea is a much better choice than coffee but 6 a day is a bit excessive. Try to find decaf or cut back. Good luck!

Does it have to be specifically Earl Grey or is it just tea in general? Because if you can, switching to a herbal tea such as lemongrass and ginger or peppermint would cut out the caffeine, or switch to green tea rather than black tea (black tea has more caffeine).

Otherwise, cut back as much as you can because black teas such as earl grey, english breakfast etc do have a bit of caffeine but not as much as coffee.

might sound silly, but have you tried smelling it, while having plain hot water?

otherwise, as others have said, decaf might be a good choice

Earl Grey is a herbal tea, it's got bergamot and lavendar in it. I think that along with the amount of caffeine in it is why it should be drunk in moderation.
