I have pain on and off in my upper right abdomen - sort of near my ribs. Initially, it was across both sides of my body but I've definately now noticed it is only on my right. It has been going on and off for about 5 days now.
I have had my gallbladder out (post birth of DS) and I'm wondering if it might be related to that... (My diet isn't fantastic at the moment - but it's not terrible either).
I can't seem to pin point any triggers for the pain.
Initially, when I mentioned it at last MW visit, the pain was across both ribs and we both said it was probably related to baby stretching etc. But the MW said if it was on the right only it could be related to my liver (no previous problems with my liver). My BP is normal, no headaches, no itchiness. Baby moving normally.
What do you think it is? I probably should call the MW but I hate to bother her...
It might be related to your gallbladder and liver, I had my gall bladder out before I got pregnant, but I used to get "phantom" gall bladder attack symptoms. It might be this? I would ask just for peace of mind. Apple Juice generally tends to help me when my liver is acting up, as its cleansing. Hope you feel better soon.

Gah I read this yesterday and thought I'd replied....sorry bout that.
Did it get bad enough for you to ring? Hope not.
To rule it out they'd need to do bloods and a scan.
For me right sided pain always = liver, but that's every time I'm pregnant due to past complications. Your body could just be stretching funny too. There might be a foot pressed somewhere uncomfortable.
I got this really badly with my pregnancy with DS and now to a lesser extent with this one. My OB had a quick scan of my gall bladder when I was there and he said it looked fine. I also had broken a nearby rib about six months before getting pregnant so thought it may have been that, but it felt more muscle/flesh than bone.
I have heard it is one of those weird pains that a lot of women get during pregnancy for no particular reason. Miraculously it disappeared the moment I had DS.
I'm not saying don't get it checked out, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they can't find anything. It's one of those very annoying things... for me anyway!
Glad you got a diagnosis. I had that for a few months after my operation. If it dosent clear or gets worse they told me they need to operate again to fix it. Hope you feel better soon.
