    Timing contractions

Seems like a silly question but how exactly do you time contractions? I gather from the start but then is it just til they peak or til they are gone all together? And the time between them is it between the end of the first til the start of the second??

I always timed from the start to the peak as the length of the contraction then the time from the start of one till the start time of the next one as how long apart they are if that makes sense? When i was in labor both times i used a contraction timer on the computer - just google it - and it does it all for you, well it doesnt hit the button lol but it makes it easier to concentrate and not worry about timing.

Oh and good luck, cant wait to read your BA!

length of contraction: i timed from beginning of contraction to when it had completely gone
length between is timed from beginning of one to the beginning of another. so if ur contractions were lasting 1 minute, and then it was 4 minutes (from the end of that contraction) til u had another one,ur contractions would be 5 mins apart. hope that makes sense.

    Good luck!
