Ok tell me about dysons vacs and which one to get?

    howdy domestic godesses!
we are moving into a house with some carpet and we have enough points for a dyson vac on our frequent flyers

they have 3 to chose from:
the dyson DC29 multi floor barrel vac
the dyson DC23 contact wrap barrel vac
the dyson DC 23 allergy barrel vac

these are in order from least to most points
our new house in carpet in bedrooms and then slate throughout the rest of the house

anyone familar with these models and what would you guys recommend???
anyone know a better vac than a dyson ?
are they worth all the hype?

i am hoping that my new vac comes with a person to use it for me too lol
    thanks

It would really be a good idea to get the hard floor tool for the slate floors, regardless of which model you get.
We had a dyson barrel vac, the base model. It was really good, but it was also heavy, for me used to upright vaccuum cleaners, lugging it around the house was a strain.
It worked well though, no issues with performance at all.

I have a Dyson upright with purple ball LOL cant think of model number sorry!!

But it is great easy to use and no bending down and dragging a vac around with you.

Filters are easy to clean just a matter of remeberring to do them after you finish as they take 24 hrs to dry out generally.

We have carper, floor boards and tiles and its great to press 1 button to turn on or off powerhead!

You are welcome to come over and have a play with mine if you like LOL

I love my Dyson. I'd marry it if it were a man. Seriously. Nothing works better.

I have a multi floor barrel vac. I use the hard floor tool for all my polished boards, and the carpet tool for the carpet in the playroom. I don't think I've EVER used a broom since I bought my Dyson.

The vacs are so much better for allergy sufferers/asthmatics as the dust on the boards is sucked up by the vacuum instead of being swished around by a broom.

I also have a number of other tools that I use too - upholstery tool for curtains/sofas, long tool for behind/underneath cupboards/furniture...

You'll never regret buying a Dyson. My parents bought one after they saw how fabulous mine is.

I have the multi tool barrel model (yellow). I love it! I have majority wood floors with just carpet in bedrooms, so I use the hard surface tool alot - like Divvy said, much better than sweeping.
I don't have a negative comment about it really - so easy to empty, filter very easy to clean. And you can usually pick them up for around $350-400ish on special.
