Got to experience a two parent family

Well I have long wondered what life would be like if I could have a loving, supporting partner to raise DS. For just one day, I have gotten to experience the best side of it. Having that someone there to keep you safe when you really need it and to care for DS when a rest was well and truly needed. I know that there are lots of challenging parts, but I wish this is one I could experience more often *sigh*

it's not fun Hun, I know I did it for 3 yrs with my eldest ds's
One was 1 and a half the other 6 months old and I was 18. I never ever thought anyone would want a damaged teenager with 2 children.
I actually went off the rails big time just to take my mind off it.
Things is though, never give up hope. Things happen when you least expect it, and at least your ds is getting unconditional love constantly.
Just keep your chin up babe things will get better

    Hang in there.

I raised DS1 for the first 10 years of his life single-handedly (with the support of my parents).

When I was least expecting it, we both fell in love and, now he has the father he always longed for and I have someone to stand by my side and share my life with.

It's hard on your own and it sucks. I hated fathers day (and christmas, easter, even shopping and seeing [I]loving[I]families together). It tore me up inside and I was at the risk of turning bitter. But I also found an incredible strength that I had inside of me that kept me going.

I'll raise my glass to myself and say what a fantastic job I did of raising DS1. He is a generous, smart, funny, caring and loving 16 year old and, I couldn't be prouder of us both for coming this far.
