hey all,
just wondering if i can use sudocream for sore and itchy areas affected by thrush? i got the oral tablet for thrush yesterday but so far it hasnt made a difference. it said it can take 2 days to start working, but in the mean time can i use sudocream to alleviate the symptoms?

A good alternative is natural yoghurt or a clove of garlic. You can get lots of ideas here:
Thrush During Pregnancy
Yes, thrush tablets from the chemist take time to kick in, at least 24 hours.

seriously what is the point of the table then? its like you need the cream and the tablet/ thanks for the suggestions.
Cream is only for relief of external symptoms. Diflucan is a one off tablet, which gets rid of fungal infections in your body - but wont give quick relief for external symptoms. I find garlic to be VERY effective though, and cut back sugar (which thrush will thrive on) and yeast while having treatment. I also pump up my level of probiotics and take garlic orally, but you should get a good brand like medi-herb which coat the tablet so it breaks down in your intestine. Garlic is brilliant (ideally fresh) as it has many properties, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial.
