Question Baby Jogger City Mini Double Pram - anyone got one?

DH and I bought one of these today, when the new baby comes along we'll have a 15/16 month old and a newborn.

I have a few questions for those who have one:

    1. Do you have the BJ rain cover or just a generic double pram rain cover? If generic, does it fit okay?
    2. Should I invest in the footmuff or anything else for the newborn to be more supported? I had a bassinet style seat for our DD so I'm a bit nervous about the newborn going in the pram as it is.
    3. Does the BJ bassinet you can buy fit onto the double?

Anything else I should know?? Thanks heaps

I had one for my girls - 12 months age difference so much the same as you. We really don't need foot muffs here so I didn't get one. They both had nice warm blankets but that's about it.

Didn't buy the rain cover because I only used it as my shopping/out and about pram. I had a big, heavy double pram that was brilliant for walks and that had all the rain covers etc. Can you ask in the shop where you bought it to have a play with a generic cover to see if it fits ok? The generic ones are usually pretty good.

You couldn't get a bassinet for the pram when I had it, but that was a model bought almost 3 years ago now. It might have changed now so worth asking at the shop. My newborn was fine without a bassinet though - I put in a sheepskin for her to lie on and she seemed pretty comfy in there.

Thanks LuluHB I did go to the shop and checked the generic brand out - it's half the price! But it doesn't fully cover the pram and in the wind it would flap and I think my DD's feet would get wet if she kicked around. So hmmmmm......
