I had the same issue. I saw them in big W and when I went to buy one they'd all been sold out and discontinued.
I didn't end up finding one. I was completely gutted.
I feel your pain. Sorry I can't help.
With Ds we used a baby moses basket to carry him in as a newborn...
It was great for dinner and coffee shops etc so I didnt have to hold him always yet didnt have to set up the big bulky pram, and allowed him to sleep
I cant find to buy, except online...'
Does anyone know where I can go to get one? my last one was from babies r us but they are now discontinued in Australia
Also Big w have then but none near me or anyone i know
I cant even order one through them, how crap
Any ideas? I want a NEW one so ebay isnt really an option

Any baby shop will have them - Baby on a Budget, Baby Bunting...etc
I saw a beautiful one at Funky Kids clothing shop for $200. That was 2 yrs ago though. Good luck!
I know you want a new one but have your thought about hiring one? You only use it for a short time and the cost of a new one for such a short time seems a lot IMO. Just a thought![]()
Thanks ladies.... still searching..... We dont have a range of baby shops here and I wasnt intending to go to a major city before the birth...
theres one baby shop here , thats why ive been looking a big W and target etc
I have one. I never used it but it was given to me second hand. So not new, but yours for free if you want it.
Thanks AudaxHow generous of you .... though im sure postage would be a hassle considering the size.... Do you have a pic though?
ebay sells loads of new products not just second handWe used our Phil and Teds Cocoon and it was great. I think there's loads of other brands out there too, not much help really am I....
Mothercare had some.
They are sold out online but you may have a store near you??? Is that the kinda thing you are after though?

Oh such pretty baskets.
I wish I could convince dh we NEED one.
I dont want to buy one that costs alot as you only use them for about 5 months....
And Ive been looking and I know from lasttimethat the ones with the woven handles become weaker as the bub gets heavier and the basket stretches/starts to relax if that makes sense so they go a little soft.... our broke a few threads towards the end thats why we need a new one this time....
So I think the baby kingdom one would be best, its practically the same as the other one I wanted from Big W but $20 more....
I found a New one on ebay from a baby store... I dont know how to link it but its pretty and pink and has a stand too for a crazy $69 buy it now with stand... new and I checked the shop and itss near my mum so im going to get her to have a look at the quality ... and then its only $20 postage on top of that... So if the quality checks out I think ill go with that one....
mum doesnt think the stand would be too good or stable so she wants a look too... I didnt need a stand last time but im scared DS will trip on the basket if he tries to sneak into our room in the dark... But wouldnt he stand the same chance of knocking it over? I wonder how sturdy they are?
Anyone have a stand with theirs?
Thanks ladies for all your helpHopefully ill make a choice soon lol

I had the Seed Organic Pod with a stand, didn't ever have any issues with anyone tripping over the stand, its really very sturdy. Not sure how different all the stands are.

I had one Moses Baskets. If you can afford it and you have the space it's nice to have a moses basket as well as a crib so you can move the baby round the house with you when it's sleeping.
