Frangipani scented airwick ok in bathroom?

    Hi,
My sense of smell is so heightened that I hate being in my bathroom. I've bought an essential oil frangipani scented airwick. Is this safe for pregnancy? I don't remember reading anything about flowers but remember some essential oils weren't good. Thanks

I'm sure it will be fine. As long as you're not directly inhaling it like in a steam bath, taking it orally or rubbing it into you skin.
I know you're supposed to avoid some essential oils and I'm not sure which ones specifically but I have never been concerned about a room fragrance like that. Otherwise I could never walk past Lush again!

Thanks so much for your reply I'm actually having second thoughts now. Looked it up on google, while it doesn't specifically say anything about frangipani it does say that they are to be handled with caution. Maybe it's not worth it?

If you're concerned I'd just ditch it. It doesn't really matter what your bathroom smells like.

i am also struggling with smells, in particularly in my bathroom so i have done the same and placed air wick scented things everywhere! there was one stage where poor DH had to bleach the bathroom a few times a week to keep me from feeling ill lol...

I had the same problem last pregnancy. Which airwick ones to you use Emma? I'm paranoid about the essential oils.

i am using Frangipani also, and i have a vanilla scented one in my kitchen so when i walk in the door after work it smells yummy! i also burn scented candles on occasions too. If the pleasant smell stops me throwing up then i am happy haha.

i have this one in my lounge room. Im fine and baby is fine. Honestly I have never given it a second thought. As long as your not drinking it, im sure its fine lol. That being said... im sure your body will tell you if you can handle it or not. I tried lavender a few weeks ago and the first wiff of it i was sick as a dog.. dizzy, headache... it was horrible .
