Just wondering if I can get some opinions on either of these prams.
I'm expecting No 4, I will need a pram for a 2.5 year old and newborn. I live rurally so when I go into town it tends to be for a whole day so will need something for my 2.5 to sit in (skate board won't do).
I have recently read that the Peg Perego Skate has a jumper seat which looks quite good. Plus I like the fact that you can attach the capsule to the pram, plus have the 2nd seat. But I have read some confusing reviews re the main seat and babies slipping down.
My concern with the Phil and Teds it that the baby will be squashed with my son sitting above him, my son isn't huge weighs 13kg. But have heard that the babies underneath can get squished.
And I really don't want to go a double stroller as their will be times where I will only have the baby.
i have a Phil and Ted Dash and its great. I found with newborn in coccon was easy to slide them in and out, DS1 was not heavy enough to squash DS2 as such but was not a huge gab between them, but as I used coccoon it wasnt an issue. At about 4 months I put DS2 into the toddler seat on back with at its most reclined without an issue (underneath he was trying to sit self forward anyway.
I have been reading some product reviews and the Perego skate doesn't seem to be that good, especially for the price,
I was just on the Phil and Teds website and the new pram looks ideal as you can clip the capsule in and still have your other child in the double seat so I wouldn't have the problem with the weight on the top. Unfortuately not available in Aus yet, hopefully it might be before this bub is due.
Weve also got the Dash and i used the cocoon aswell and my son never squashed my daughter and the Dash has a cover over the bar on the toddler seat which is good for heads (the classic and sport have no cover and i wonder how kids dont bang their heads on the bar)
i also found the dash really light to push even with shopping and 2 toddlers
Another good thing i have found with P&T prams is alot of there parts are replacable which i think is great, i'm about to change the pad insert colours
