I am 7.5 weeks and can barely function. I feel constantly nauseous, and am finding Restavit doesn't really help. (Have also tried all the traditional remedies). This is my second pregnancy - was sick in first as well, but this time I have a toddler to look after.
The problem is I don't throw up - I just feel constantly nauseous. I don't know if the other drugs are for nausea or just vomiting.
I know you've said you've tried everything, but have you tried some Saladas? I found that room-temp ginger ale was awesome... apart from the reflux because of it. But reflux is better tham m/s.
Talk to your OB. He should be able to help you out. I was sick with DD, but didn't take any drugs as I had concerns about them affecting her.
Ginger nut biscuits are also good. Just snack on them.
You could ask to go on Ondansetron, otherwise known as zofran. It is a wafer that dissolves on your tongue. It is great but really expensive. A box of 12 costs about $120.
Can I just say I am feeling your pain. I'm 6w6d and so sick! DD is all over me. I have heard good things about sea sickness bracelets. Was gonna go get one today but DH has my wallet in his car. The zofran also made me really constipated last time to so I am gonna try to avoid it this time.
Oh sweetie, I too feel your pain. I never thought having m/s sickness with a toddler would be as hard as it is I ended up going on Maxolon but not sure if you can have it if not actually vomiting yet. Perhaps see your GP, they might have something else
I was the same hardly threw up, just felt sick.
Salty crackers and ginger nut biscuits were the best for me.
Also, as crazy as this sounds, never let yourself get hungry...I found that's when the nausea was the worst!
From the sounds of things you are going through what i did. I know what it feels like to try EVERYTHING and having nothing work. I eventually tried maxalon and some days it worked a treat others i was bed ridden or in the toilet constantly throwing up. the only things i didnt throw up was juice and oranges.
I have heard of maxalon shots, maybe speak to your doctor.
are you losing weight? because if you are thats something to be concerned about. I lost over 10kgs in the first 12 weeks and so i had to have the maxalon and basically make myself eat because when i wasnt throwing up i had absolutely no desire to eat.
I really hope you feel better soon. have you tried sucking on lollies, fruit tingles worked for me.
Bella, I've been using those bracelets too, although they don't seem to help me too much. Glad they are helping you too!
I've got a doctor's appt today - going to talk about zofran/maxalon. Wish me luck! I made DH stay home from work today because I didn't feel I could cope with DS on my own, but I can't do that every day!
