    Honeymoon locations??

Wasn't really sure where to put this.....

We're kind of stumped as to where to go for our honeymoon.
Getting married 18th of September (its a sunday) and we'd probably go on a honeymoon on the Thursday or Friday once we recovered from the wedding.
We live in far nothern Victoria, but basically anywhere in Australia is fine as DP and I are very used to travelling long distances.
We don't really want to do the Grampians, as its a 'been there, done that' kind of thing. And alot of its closed now because of the January floods.
Mybe NSW?? We haven't been there.
DP has done Uluru, and we want to go back there when DD is a bit older. Oh, we're thinking about most likely leaving her with my folks.
We don't really want to be gone for more than a week if we left DD home, as she'd only be 9 months old.

Another thought was Lake Eyre, but it'd be very crowded there.
I've been to Phillip Island, so not there.

    Any ideas??

    BALI

It depends how much you are going to spend but most places in Australia work out more than a trip to Bali .... Jetstar have great deals to look out for , we usually only spend $1300 for the three of us .... for travel and accomodation is cheap there for five star....

For $40 night in Bali you can stay in luxury whereas its $150 a night in port Macquarie for basis rooms.... and Bali has the BEST shopping and culture, and food

but if u didnt want to go international Hamilton Island is amazing for a week!

$$$ wise its not overly cheap but u can go to whitehaven beach which is stunning, snorkel on the barrier reef, they have ****tails by sunset....

and u get to drive a golf buggy everywhere... my personal fave activity!

We've thought about Fiji, as its cheaper to have a massive holiday there than one way tickets to Broome. Which is where we wanted to go. We wanted to go to the Kimberlys. Which we still want to do, it would be magical to go there.

DP has thrown Bali out there a couple times, but I've never had a desire to go there. And DP went there a couple years ago, so it wouldn't be massively special for him.
I like the idea of Coffs.
You guys have given me some good ideas to look into. I guess I should get my passport sorted out, as it expired last year. Bugger.
And we're not doing NZ!! I've been to NZ 7 times as my mum's family lives there. No thanks!! Maybe another year.....

I like the idea of Fiji, and DP's dad was telling me the other day about his recent holiday to Vanuatu. It sounds really nice.
Going to go check out Fiji deals now....

My fave places I have had shorter stays in (like less than a week, as obviously for places like USA, Japan, Europe etc you'd need more than a week, imo) are:

    Hamilton Island
    Byron Bay
    Blue Mountains
    Gold Coast
    Fiji
    &
    Vanuatu

Those ate my top 6 for short stays and all make brilliant Honeymoon destinations, we did Fiji for ours, bliss!

North West WA? Great weather, nice beaches! Or Bali - you can fly AirAsia for $300 return.

Thats where we wanted to go, but we probably won't have the money. Airfares to Broome aren't cheap, and to get the car over to Perth would cost 5 grand.

I love Fiji, so can recommend that. We stayed at an adults only resort called Lomani, which was lovely.

I've always wanted to check out Broken Hill and places like that.
Mudgee is a beautiful spot in NSW, then there's the Blue Mountains.
