I think they are different for everyone but for me it was just like really light period pain.

For me it feels like a rubber band being stretched across the top of my bump. I never had them with my first either. They started a few weeks ago and are very irregular.

My belly goes hard and i get sort of light period pain for about 10 seconds. Mine started at 16 weeks with both pregnancies. Usually happens more after sex or when I over-do it.

I only just noticed these the other night. I feel a bit of a dunce. It's my 2nd time this far into pregnancy, so you'd figure I'd know what to look for. For me, BH aren't painful at all. I just get a tight feeling across the top of my belly. It feels hard, like something's trying to push out. Then later, it goes soft again. TBH, I thought I'd just overate, but it wasn't quite the same feeling. Apparently I got them last time, i just didn't know.

this time, I noticed them at 18+ weeks. Dont know when they started last time.

i think Braxton Hicks are contractions that are not painful. this is my first pregnancy, so I don't know if I already experienced it. but maybe

Trying to work out if braxton hicks are what I've been experiencing?

This is my first bub, so all very new? For a few mins my stomach felt unsettled, as if I had to go to the toilet (not to wee, sorry if TMI), sat on the loo but nothing...then lying back in bed, I felt heavy flutterings, almost like kicks bit alternating on either side of my belly for about 20 seconds. I'm almost 29 weeks now, but had this happen once before around 25 weeks....

You might be surprised to know that you start experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions around the 13-14 week mark and EVERYONE has them, its just whether or not they are strong enough to feel.

I didn't feel anything with DD but due to the number of U/S I had I saw them fairly regularly when I was being examined.

I am not far enough in to really notice anything but I am certain my body is doing them.

    HTH somewhat

The BH for me has been this pregnancy only. At first I thought it was bubz bum or knees pushing outwards and i only have then in 2 places really. at the top of my bump in line with my boobies and I can feel the muscles tightening for a few seconds. A few of them have made me STOP, say WHOA and breathe because they are strong for me.

I started feeling them around 28ish weeks
