40w+4 and still no name decision!

So, DH and I have thought about names but I havent fallen in love with any names. We have agreed to name her when she gets here, but I really dont have any that take my fancy....

Did you fall in love with your DS/DD's name? Did you know in an instant that you wanted that name?

Also, I like names ending in 'a' sound (Talia etc) and DH likes names ending in 'ie/y' (Chloe etc).

Does anyone have any suggestions, for a girls name ending in 'a' sound or 'ie/y' sound (cant begin with an A or a M though)?

    Thanks!!

My DD is Harper and fell in love with that imediately. DH didn't but nothing else seemed right for me. I tried to think of others and negociate with DH but my girl was Haper all along.

Kirstie (my name) isn't heard of too often in these recent years (i don't think??). The only thing is i constantly get called Kristy if they don't LOOK at the name properly or if they get the Kirstie part they'll spell it with a y. Not a big deal, something i've grown up with and am used to.

Another ie name which is quite old fashioned but very pretty in my opinion is Elsie. It's actually one of my DD's middle names as it's my nan's middle name. Sorry if i'm confusing you

Have had 4 kids, one name i hated but DH loved it - i like it now. 1 i fell in love with when i was 6 weeks pregnant (thank god she was a girl LOL). the other two, DH and i really dont know what happened, but we both feel like we werent involved in naming them LOL. Sounds weird but i think we were just in such a daze after they were born that it just feels like they are those dolls that come with a name. I like them but could take or leave them. OK that sounds bad but its true I hate naming kids, give me birth anyday over naming!

I wasn't sure about my 3rd son's name, it is quite common unlike our other too and it took me a few weeks to get comfortable with it.

    Names

    Zoe
    Lahni
    Eva
    Sophie
    Olivia
    Brydie
    Maya

    Good luck with your decision.

Oh I hear you on this.
I am a Kristy and I always get Kirsty. It is one of those names people just can never get right. Like you I am use to it. Half the time I don't even correct someone anymore.

I new DD1 name from about 25weeks pregnant. DD2 we had a short list but as soon as we saw her we new the name we wanted.

All the PP have given you lovely names that I would have said too.

    Goodluck.

Another Kristi that always gets called Kirsty here too :P I get called it even when i TELL them my name and same with spelling, i can spell it for people and they will spell it wrong. Im like u now, i just go along with being Kirsty if thats what they call me lol

Back to the names list, what about Tia, Ava, Briella, Bella?

Most of ours we were set on what we were going to call them, some even before they were conceived but mostly by 20 wks. Some we had 2 names we were choosing between and when they were born we knew what they were. It was only with #1 that she had a name but when she was born i was sure she was something else, DH wouldnt let me change her name though. I absolutely love allllllllllllll our kids names For us, if the wow factor wasnt there they didnt make it onto the list.
