A warm spot - wierd sypmtom.

I have a very weird thing happening.
I often have a warm spot on my left calf. The first times I noticed it I assumed it was a warm spot from the car heater but then I noticed it when I was not in the car. I think it happens more when I'm sitting down but maybe I notice it more than.
It feels like a warm spot from a heater or like when you step in front of a jet in a heated pool and get warm water on your leg.
According to Dr Google it could be a brain tumour or a pinched nerve or maybe just imaginitis.
I feel kind of silly bothering my Dr with it.
Has anyone else ever had a warm spot? How long did it take to go away? What was it?

It's not painful or annoying, in fact with winter coming on it's kind of pleasant on a cold morning.

Could also be a symptom of some kind of soft tissue infection or even a dvt? Is it painful at all?

Is it swollen, tender or red. Is that calf bigger then the other?

It's not painful. It's not hot to touch or red or swollen. Both my calves look the same.

I have no idea then. Could it be the start of a varicose vein?

So it just feels hot inside? But not from the outside when you touch it?

is your neck sore? on the opposite side? I know that sounds crazy, but I recently had a pinched nerve in my neck and one of my syptoms was the same warmth you're describing - Imaginitis... ha, i like it

Well i'm sure it's not imaginitis! But no idea what it is. If it's not swollen or painful i wouldn't worry about it too much. Do you ever see an osteo or chiro? Kind of does sound nerve related....

My neck has been a bit sore - at the point where the neck meets the shoulder but I think it's more a shoulder pain than a neck pain and it's on the same side.
My hamstring on that side hurts when I run for the last day or so but not when I do dead lifts.
I always have a few aches and pains from the gym so it's hard to know what is muscle soreness that will pass in a day or two and what is related...

Maybe I should just see the Doctor, I can nag her about my other trivial issues at the same time.

I get exactly the same thing in my right calf. I have no idea what it is but the good news is I have had it for over a year and I am still alive

I can also assure you it is NOT exercise related (well, not in my case anyway )

I used to get the sensation of warm water running down my leg from my calf then it would feel lilke it was warm for a while. No idea what it was and has since stopped. Not that it helps much but thought I would share

I get those sorts of things all the time...they are just nerves sending the wrong signal.....in my case becuase because the nerves are damaged but lots of people can it get for no real reason at all....it could be related to your neck being out and nerve being a bit squished even...definitely talk to your doctor though to put your mind at rest but most likely it is just a misfiring nerve...another sign of age I am afraid....
