    Bendigo pottery

I'm sure many of you have the Bendigo Pottery bowls? I'm making a friends birthday cake and I want to make the mushroom cake from the womans weekly cake book, the bendigo pottery bowls are the only bowls that might work for this cake.. So does anyone know if they are oven safe? Thee is no writing on the bottom of them and they are ceramic I think and quite thick?
    Thanks in advance

My mum had some of those. I'm not sure whether you can use them in the oven or not.

I have a giant cupcake mould if you'd like to borrow it. You could pick it up from my work tomorrow if you like.

If you can steam a pudding in it I'd say it was ovenproof and ok for a cake.....

Otherwise can you use a square or round cake tin and trim it down?
