Is it possible to have a black base instead of charcoal for Bugaboo chameleon?

I've checked their website and asked the shop and it is charcoal and not black. I'm just sure I've seen some black bases out and about. I am thinking of a pink or red top and just not sure if charcoal will look as nice as black, but if that is my only option I might have to go with it.

If it is a black base you have seen it is a fake bugaboo chameleon........bugaboo has only ever done the charcoal and the sand bases and the very ocassional limited edition coloured options....there are quite a few fakeaboos around that people unwittingly purchase off ebay that are black but they arenot genuine ones. Having said that the charcoal base is almost black in colour, if you haven't already go and have a look IRL it is quite a dark colour.

Melbel's right, there aren't any black bases for the cameleon. The new double donkey has a black base though...........

Bugaboo are however releasing (or have released?) a limited edition 'All black Cameleon' which is just as the name says; all black, including a black chassis. Maybe you could go for that one and just buy a pink or red tailored fabric to go with it?

Don't know when/if it will be released in Aus tho.. but it's on the bugaboo website now!

There is actually a huge range of bases of real bugaboo available - not all were released in Australia and if they were it's recent (last 12 months). Current black bases available are with a limited edition release and generally available from only one store (such as dj's) but you buy the whole pram - not just the base fabrics.
