    Hi all,

Today we found out we were pregnant - just from a homekit.

Obviously need to make a doctors appointment but what are our next steps?

first of all - welcome & congratulations!!

my local gp didnt send me for a blood test cuz i had 4 positive stick tests, (but they usually do to find out how far along you are/due date etc) & then he referred me to my obstetrician..

im not sure how other gp's work but thats how mine did!

    good luck!

Hi Melz, Welcome to Belly Belly!!!!

Congrats on your pregnancy!!! Enjoy the next 8 or so months before you meet your little bubba!!

Your first step is really up to you! It depends where you want to birth, who you want to see and what happens at the hospitals etc where you live! Some people are happy to see a GP and the midwives at the hospital clinics, other people prefer to see an ob- or need to if they have special circumstances. I would go see your normal GP and maybe call the hospital (or birth centre or where ever you are thinking you want to go) and find out what their procedure is!

All the best to you and your bump!!!
