    My sad introduction

    Hi ladies

I have been reading your wonderful & informative forum posts for since early April, when my husband and I decided it was time to start trying for a family.

We were incredibly lucky falling pregnant; I had my Implanon removed on the 14th April, after 4 years, and did my first positive HPT on 6th May. I had a great start to my pregnancy - no m/s to speak of. But started spotting at around 6 weeks. Had a scan & all OK, saw baby's HB for the first time. More bleeding at 9 weeks, including one major bleed which saw me heading to Emergency, for fear of miscarriage. Two scans in a week showed a healthy & active baby, with a strong heart beat. Told I had a haematoma which may continue to bleed so should not worry. Had a break from bleeding of about 2 days, then bleeding commenced again at the start of last week, and had been constant. Brought my 12w scan forward to Tuesday (which made me 11w3d), at which time we were told that there was no heartbeat, and the baby had stopped growing about 5 days earlier.

Obviously, my husband & I are heartbroken; but I think that deep down, I knew that this bleeding couldn't be a good sign for our baby.

I had a D&C this morning, which, whilst upsetting, was actually not as distressing as I thought it would be. As I had been bleeding for over a week, and body was showing no sign of passing baby naturally, I really wanted the D&C so I could start getting back to 'normal'.

Yesterday, I went through my computer and removed all reminders about baby appointments, due dates etc, and was going to delete all of my 'baby related' websites until we are lucky enough to fall pregnant again, but then realised what a wealth of support you all are, so thought I should still call in and introduce myself, as I'm really sure I'll be needing some advice in my next steps of the journey.

The silver lining of our cloud is that we did fall pregnant so quickly, so I think we will try again as soon as we feel up to it, and hope that the next pregnancy is an extra sticky one.

Thanks for listening to my story

Hi TheMrsSmith, so sorry for the loss of your bubs. Funny how as mums, we usually have the 'right' intuition. You have certainly come to a great place for support, information etc.... GL with your TTC journey

Im so very sorry for your loss.

Give yourself much time to grieve and heal.

I myself had a similar loss and link it to the haematoma which was lying alongside the sac.

Thinking of you during this sad time!

Im sorry for your loss. I know what you are going thorough and, speaking from experience, I know you will find a lot of support here.

Interestingly, I had a sub-chronic haematoma right next to the sac with my last two miscarried pgs, and none with my two healthy pgs.

    Thinking of you.
