    Bit freaked out!

I'm home alone with DS as DH is on night shifts this week. Before he went to bed, my DS pointed at nothing and said "Dada Dada' over and over. He calls any man he sees Dada, but I said that Dada was at work etc. Then he points again and says 'Hat! Hat!'

Immediately the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. My own Dad passed away over 20 years ago and he always wore a hat, whenever I think of him he's wearing his akubra hat. It's coming up to his anniversary which is also my son's birthday. We've had a few funny things go on since DS was born but not for at leat 6 months.

He kept doing funny faces towards the same area as I was zipping him into his bag. So needless to say I now have all the lights on!

Oooooh spooky hun! I think it's your dad. I'm reading the Allison DuBois book 'We are their Heaven', and she basically says our loved ones are always around us, wheather we feel their presence or not. Our loved ones love being around us in whatever we are doing because they miss and love us and want to be a part of our lives still. When you are afraid of spirits (like me) they find it harder to be felt/seen by you. Children however, have no hang ups like this and they can easily see/feel the spirits around us. Don't be scared hun, just think it's your dad watching over your beautiful DS and his precious grandson. It's amazing how they share the anniversary/birthday. Big hugs and save the money on all the lights! lol

    short answer:

you do not need to be afraid, but you also don't need to allow it to be in your home if you are not comfortable.

    I will PM you

    i'd say its your dad.
dont worry about it. he's just keeping an eye on his little girl and grand son, while your DH is at work.
i get the feeling he's there more then he "lets on".

Hun, that is so very special, don't be afraid. Such a beautiful thing to know that your dad is watching over your family.

That sounds like your dad for sure hun. I understand you being a tad scared, naturally because most things unknown can be unsettling but perhaps in the day time, you can have quiet conversations with your dad and tell him how you are going, your lil boy is and how much you love him and miss him. He misses you just as much so share some of your daily thoughts with him and if you have to just mention that you love him being with you and your family but no big surprises especially at night ok Sure he will understand.

    Feeling better tonight

I think it scared me more because up until last night, it's been me feeling and hearing things that have gone on. Although DS has reacted to things I can't see (I haven't seen anything since I was a child myself) this was the first time he actually came out with anything like that ITMS. Plus nothing has happened all this year I don't think. So I'm pretty sure it was my Dad, I feel like they share a special connection. Not only was my son born on his 21 year anniversary, it was almost to the exact time too, plus he's named after him. DS carries around the only photo I have of him all the time, has done for as long as he's been able to reach it! I'm always finding it in funny places.

    Thanks girls
