I am determined when I get to be pregnant that I am going to have boy/girl twins - just a feeling - whatever, probably stupid BUT....some major discussion yesterday at work due to number of pregnant staffers about names.....once you've worked with kidlets for any length, you automatically rule out a pile of names for one reason or another.
Anyway - my favourites at the moment are
Poppy for a girl (possibly Anne, Grace or Louise as middle names) - but do you think this is too childlike for an adult? Ophelia is a name that can be shortened to Poppy, but I am not a fan of choosing a grown up name and then never using it.
And Tobias for a boy (possible William or John as middle).
I know some very pleasant adult Poppys. But having said that, not one I would pick. If you like it, adult Poppy will be lovely, I am sure. I prefer Ophelia, but wouldn't shorten that to Poppy.
I don't think Poppy is a name that could be considered 'too young' for an older girl or lady. Ophelia seems very old fashioned, however you can have that as your DD legal name and 'Poppy' as her preferred name. For example, some people are legally named John but are called/prefer 'Jack'.
