We are about to commence IVF/ICSI and today I had my ovarian scan and BT pre-cycle and they picked up a cyst (eg one) on one of my ovaries - apparently its about 2cm, and the lady doing my scan said that generally they will remove it if its over 10mm. I asked how and she said something about a trigger injection (eg some type of hormone therapy?) She also said something along the lines that it may be a bit bigger as its on my dominant ovary (I think?, although as I was a little shocked I could have misheard)

Anyone experiences this that can shed any light, we don't go to our follow up appt with our FS until Aug 3.

Our fertility issues up until now were with regards to DHs sperm motility and morphology so I am a bit new to having a potential female factor, I wasn't expecting them to come across any issues today as we were doing the scan to check my egg reserve etc pre cycle.

Is it a big issue, little issue or just something that not completely uncommon (re the cyst)
