    Icecream makers?

Ok, so funny time of year for this I guess, but watching Masterchef DH and I are thinking about an icecream maker for summer. DH is lactose intolerant, so I could make him some icecream using lactose free milk...

So any one got one, or can recommend one?

    Homemade icecream is the best!

Mine is an attachment for my kitchen aid mixer. Pros are that its an attachment, so not another machine. Con is that I have to have it in the freezer for 15 hours before I use it, so if my freezer is full and the attachment doesn't fit, there's no spur-of-the-moment icecream.

I'm also very interested in an ice-cream maker as I have to make my own with special low protein milk. Would be happy to have some recommendations

I have the KA attachment too. I love it because mine lives in my freezer (I have a stand alone upright freezer) in a plastic bag. I have a few great recipes that don't involve a heated custard, including a yummy nutella icecream that I swear by! I don't have anymore room for appliances lol so the attachment is best for me.

I have a cuisinart ice cream maker. The one where the bowl is frozen first. Excellent machine. I have a chest freezer so the bowl is always frozen. Only takes 20 minutes to churn a cold custard.
