My period came back when DS was about 7 mo despite exclusive bfing. Was a little irregular for a while, shortest about 26 days, longest I think about 42, but has settled for months at about 32 days, occasionally (like twice) it's been almost a week longer. Now I'm on day 14 and bleeding again no pain so far but it usually takes a while to kick in so that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
Def not pregnant or anything even close to possibly pregnant.
Should I be concerned?
All I can think of is that DS has suddenly been feeding lots again after taking a break for nearly two weeks. Could that have caused this?
Sorry to hear AF is back again so soon. That really sucks.
I doubt the BF is the cause of another period. But I would also doubt that you need to worry. If it were me, I would stop in and chat to the GP, but I am used to very regular cycles (I don't fluctuate by more than a week, unless pregnant of course). Probably they will tell you to keep an eye on things but they may have some more insightful questions to ask IRT other possible clinical symptoms.
So I reckon it's probably nothing to be concerned about but it's still worth a trip to the docs to have a chat.
Sorry if I was unclear - it's been more or less regular each month since it first came back over a year ago so this is suddenly an "extra" one... Still no pain though. Seems really odd as it would have definitely kicked in with a vengeance by now usually.
