    IVF and Acupuncture

    Hi I am new to this world and I am about to start IVF. Has anyone used acupuncture with IVF and has it helped? Can anyone recommend somewhere in Melbourne that specialises in IVF acupuncture?

    Depending on where in melbourne you live I can recommend Fertile Ground in East Melbourne particularly Milly or if you live more Mornington way I can recommend Kirsten Doughty at Mornington Complementary Medicine...both did wonders with me!

    I can't recommend anyone in Melbourne but I say go for it!

    I used accupuncture for my last few cycles and the difference was just amazing. Good luck

    Thanks Muppity. I will try anything if it's going to help. I went to a naturopath who made me take 15 pills aday and go on this insane diet that made me loose weight. I've got PCOS but I'm not over weight. So I've decided that's not for me and I'll try acupuncture before I start IVF.

    Thanks Bex. I'll look into it. I've got my first app on the 11/08 at City fertility on Stkilda rd. They may be able to give me info too.

    I can recommend Fertile Ground in East Melbourne. Very handy if you're with Melbourne IVF as they are just around the corner. It at least helped with my stress. I saw Peter Slipper, but I think they are all good and experienced with IVF.

    Peter knew I was pregnant before I did by my reaction to the acupuncture a week after my IVF. I just about kicked him when he put one into a hormone spot in my foot. I was always very reactive when he put needles in, in spots where I had an issue. He didn't say anything though.
