Do symptoms come and go in the first trimester??????.... I am worried

    Hi All,

This has probably been asked a thousand times

This is my first pregnancy. I had my first scan on Monday and the baby measured 6wks3days with a good heartbeat of 139bpm. I have had all day morning sickness with nausea, dry reaching and the occasional vomit. My breasts have also been really sore. I had all these symptoms for about the last two weeks and up until last night.

I woke this morning with no morning sickness, my breasts aren't sore and I don't feel 'right'.

If someone could reassure me that its common for symptoms to come and go so quickly that would really help me. I am kind of freaking out!

Don't stress out too much. You'll probably feel really crappy later.

It was great to wake up not feeling like vomiting, but I'd usually vomit in the afternoon!

If you're really worried you can go to the doctor??

    Hope everythings OK, honey.

Yes, completely normal. I remember being convinced that I must've lost my baby as I woke up feeling not pregnant anymore. You'll probably find you'll be feeling sick again in no time at all.
Try not to worry yourself, although I know how stressful it is!

Yes symptoms can come and go and some can stop and different symptoms take over.

I'd only get worried if they stop for a while, like maybe a week.

It's hard not to stress but try not to.

Rosey, I could have written this exact thread! I'm just behind you at six weeks and have been feeling fine, so of course I assumed that was a bad thing and asked my GP. As others have said, she advised it was completely normal and symptoms will come and go because hormone levels are going up and down until the placenta takes over in 2nd tri.

I'm a worrier too. Hang in there xxx

With DS1 and DS2 the MS was identical - no vomiting but all day sickness feeling crapola every day til 10-12 weeks. This pregnancy i had MS till 14 weeks but would come and go like a yoyo, i would feel aweful for three of four day in a row then feel ok for 2 days in a row.

Buffy I so am a worrier... hope you’re going ok!

Well I needn’t have worried as the MS returned on Saturday. Although it has died down today, seems I am starting to get the Yoyo MS as well DANNIIM.

Another one who has had similar freak outs With this pregnancy I was so sick I had to have Maxolon injections, then I suddenly woke up feeling fantastic! I have an understanding GP so went and got a referral for a 2nd scan which bubs was just fine. Sure enough I was back on the toilet floor within the week. If you're worried there is no harm in speaking to someone, but it is normal.
