    Q about carpet cleaning

I am in a partly furnished granny flat, so when I move out I wonder what my responsibility is in relation to carpet cleaning. I am totally happy to have it professionally done, but what happens with the furniture? There will be a dining table, coffee table, couple of cabinets etc.. Not too much, but it will still be in the way. The flat is up stairs so not really easy to move. Would the carpet cleaners just clean around it if we moved it to around the outside of the room?

We do steam cleaning- probably just move the furniture around as the carpet is basically dry with our machine.
    Depends on the company though.
Most would prob go around- as it is an OHS issue to lift things.

I get my carpets done every three months (white carpet throughout and black dirt and 7 kids = yuk!) and he does around the furniture.
I just lift all the small things up and out the way but leave sofas, corner units, dining table etc and he goes around and under them.

Everytime I moved out of a rental I organised the carpet cleaners to come once the furniture was all gone. Good luck!

Cheezelmonster - The place is partly furnished so I'll only be moving my stuff out. The rest stays
