kaydee - hi, i post mainly in the late june group but also read up on everyone in here, as their bubs are a bit more advanced than mine. but i enjoy reading on how everyone is doing.

william has just moved over to 00, as the 000 were too short, though the middles are too loose, but he kept squishing his toes and having imprint in heel from seam, so thought it was time to change.

Jim slept 9 hours then he had 150ml NAN HA then I stuck him on the boob for half an hour! He is growing!!

Lovely washing weather in Brissie again today. I have 6 Hemp Multifits from BBH, luckily on their special which ended all of a sudden..but they have dried quite quickly, faster than the 1 Bamboo I have. So I can start using those overnights and for the other fitted nappy occasions. Also I have a lot of cloth wipes now, I'm doing orange for nappy's and red for other wiping experiences, they're from a lady on eBay, "Beautbots".

    Hi Ladies

    Wow a new thread already.

EMC - I agree with the Brissy weather. It's been quite pleasant and great for washing.

KellyD - I hope you had a great day at the park.

Bern - Certainly sounds like she's having a growth spurt. Look out 00's lol.

    Milly is 2 months today!!
She has recently discovered her thumb, so is good at settling herself now. Last night she slept 12 hours straight!! From 7.30-7.30! It's so amazing! I remember DS started sleeping though the night at 7 weeks because he discovered how to use his thumb. Yes, it's great BUT 5 years on he is STILL sucking his thumb!

Do any of you sew and make things for baby? I have been looking at a lot of handmade things with beautiful fabrics and have decided that I might give it a go. I have a sewing machine, but would you believe I got it for Christmas over 2 years ago from MIL and it's STILL in it's box. lol.

Far out that's a long sleep Kaydee.

I am more into very basic DIY, and dabbling in different crafts so I meant to paint some pictures for Jim, but I haven't got around to it. I was going to copy some animals from some wrapping paper we had. There's certainly a lot of blogs and things you can find out about making things on the internet these days.

    In emergency department with Jacob

He got some fluff from a sock wrapped around his toe and it cut through the skin and cut off the circulation.... Very worried he's going to lose his toe

wow this thread has been busy the last two days!! sorry if I miss anything!!

BBB yes its nice nt having to change poopy nappies at night lol!! Lizzie finally went yesterday, and squeezed in an extra feed to compensate for the empty tummy!! How did the dinner party go??

GG - great to see you too! moving house wow! way to go super mum! we may be moving in summer to the other side of melbourne and am not looking forward to it...dont know where I'll find the time to pack lol What a clever sleeper Bree is!!! she obviously feels very safe and secure and self confident!! I love that Lizzie sleeps about 1 hours most nights too! I feel for you with the unsettled Tummy after sufferning the same wit Susie. in the end we just coped as best we could, gripe water would help!

Porsche - wow solids! scary to think its only a month till they can start! not sure when we'll start Lizzie, will go wit babyled if she is interested otherwise just start at 6 months, not like she needs extra feed lol!

emc2 -I recommend persevering with the mothers group, I found the best part of mg was after the formal classes when we kept seeing each other. our group still meets every week (although we dont live there anymore ) and we have a christmas party and combined birthday party every year as well!! everyone has a new baby or is pregnant so cant wait for this christmas! if you really dont get on, try looking for a playgroup!

Kaydee - time goes so fast! Lizzie keeps lookin for her thumb, but when she finds it spits it out cause its too small hah! Susie's never leaves her mouth rofl but she was 6 months before she found it! I sew for my girls..well haven't sewn for Lizzie yet, but have made some things for Susie, I love sewing for lil kids cause you don't have to worry quite as much about fit like you do for adults!!

BB - Oh dear just read your comment, hope his toe is ok *big hugs*

His circulation seems to be returning, poor thing is in a lot of pain tho, breaks my heart. Have to keep monitoring it for circulation and infection.
He's been wanting extra booby time for comfort, been feeding him almost non stop since 4am with him having little 15-20 min naps

    Hi Ladies

Babybellyburton - Gosh what an awful time you've had. I'm so glad circulation sems to have returned. Poor poppet.

Kaydee - L gets lucky and finds her thumb lol. She's not a thumb sucker though. That's a great sleep. L sleeps from 6pm to about 6am sometimes 7am. I think the 210ml of BM before bedtime helps lol.

MrsC - I always thoiught solids started at 6 months but apparently you can start at 4 months. I'll see how L goes. If she's still happy with BF'ing then I'll just stick with that until she gets more interested in foods.

WHO's guidelines reccomend solids introduced from 6 months but my sister and I had our first at 4 months.
My mum said there was an article in the baby recently stating recent research indicates introducing solids earlier, at 4 months, could prevent allergies.
