extreme ovulation..may be TMI..

so ive had AF back for 2 years, have had the mirena in for 16 months (so no AF so to speak). the past two months (and others before) ovulation has been really bad.
last month i had nausea for the two weeks leading up to ovulation, bad cramping..until i ovulate...feels like im ovulating golf balls . this month im also swollen and have copious amounts of EWCM.
so just wondering why is it so bad? its not like this every month thank goodness, and is anyone else the same???

I had it really bad earlier this year and was doubled over for 3 days around O time. U/S showed nothing bad was there so I was put on the proper pill for 4 months to try to "reset" things. It's worked and while it's still tender, it is a lot better than what it was

Is it worse on one side? My left ovarie has always hurt and I have conceived both babes from that side because ovulation is so obvious to me.

Have you had an ultrasound? It could be cystic? But that in itself is very common and not necessarily a cause for alarm.

Generally I think hormonal control via the pill or nuvaring is supposed to help.

thanks sam, im not sure i could have the pill as i have the mirena might ask my gyno when i see him next.
Arcadia i actually had an u/s a few weeks back and everything was fine, its both sides
